STRUCTURAL INVESTIGATION AND DESIGN PROPOSAL

Hi Sir:

I am pleased to submit my proposal for the Structural Engineering Services of the above Project.
The project is an existing 4-storey reinforced concrete commercial building plus basement and
roof deck levels. The existing roof deck shall then be converted to commercial space and thus
require roofing above. Since the extension is directly on top of the existing structure and because
the building has long been constructed, the whole structure shall be evaluated to ensure safety
and stability. The project has an approximate total floor area of 3,200 square meters and shall be
structurally designed and retrofitted, as necessary. It is assumed to be an independent structure
erected entirely separate from its adjacent structures.

Below are our offered services, corresponding fees, and conditions:

I. Scope of Work

1. Structural Design of the Extension and Retrofitting of Existing Structure

- Five (5) Sets of Structural and Retrofitting Drawings
- Five (5) sets of Structural Design Criteria
- Five (5) sets of Structural Design Calculations
- Five (5) sets of Structural Design Specifications

II. Compensation

Compensation for the structural engineering services stated above shall be a lump sum amount
of PESOS: TWO HUNDRED TWENTY THOUSAND (PhP 220,000.00) ONLY. The above fee is
inclusive of 12% VAT, and any local or foreign taxes.

III. Reimbursable Expenses

The following items are not included in the lump sum amount and shall be reimbursed
accordingly if the following services and items are required:

1. Additional scope of work or revisions shall be paid either on a lump sum basis to be
agreed upon by mutual agreement between parties.
2. Additional copies of blueprints of structural drawings, design calculations, and
specifications in excess of the allotted sets.
3. The consultant shall be charging PhP3,000.00 per site inspection and/or meeting during
construction stage.

IV. Exclusions

1. Topographic survey of the area

2. Civil Engineering / Site Development Detailed Drawings
3. Geotechnical Report
4. Full-time supervision and inspection during construction
5. As-Built drawings
6. Bar cutting lists and shop drawings
7. Detailed estimate calculations

V. Requirements to commence work

1. Complete Architectural drawings including floor plans of all levels, roof plan, building
elevations, and building sections
2. Complete Structural as-built drawings of the existing structure
3. Geotechnical Report (if available)

VI. Terms of Payment

Down payment upon the approval of this proposal - Fifty Percent (50%)
Upon submission of all structural requirements - Fifty Percent (50%)
