Instruction: Prepare a brief essay.

1. Why do you want to become a lawyer? ( prepare an essay even if you

do not want to become a lawyer )

It brings so much pride if you are in the Philippines, to further pursue

an Academic Achievement beyond the norms of studying, a bachelor’s
degree.
In the light of the foregoing, it has been a blood-lust since high school
to become one, a Lawyer. Notwithstanding an average IQ, I still believe
that persistence, passion, courage and conviction are the key to be
successful in the study of Legis Legum Baccalaureus.
I grew up with a silver spoon in my mouth, not though that rich, but
atleast, I should say, we can afford. It never occurred to me how privilege I
was, until I became a teacher.
In the world of Academe, the more citations attached to a name, the
better. Nonetheless, some of my achievement cannot rule out my dream to
become a lawyer. The pinnacle of all dreams, the advancement to become
a LAWYER.
To become a lawyer is for me both good and bad. Notwithstanding
the apparent distinction, on the lighter side, being a lawyer is:
1. a good provider of income, thus if you are a good lawyer, you
will become rich.
2. Status symbol - you get to be respected all the time
3. Money comes easy for you - appearances, attorney’s fees, etc
4. A title that will never be taken away from you , regardless of any
Violation of the Professional Code of Ethics and disbarment
cases, you still have passed the gruesome 1 month long BAR
EXAMS. Others took it the nth times.
However, it might sound bad but not as bad as you think it would be,
being a lawyer gives so much confidence that all the time you would think
that you know what to invoke or what to say, because you are a lawyer.
Having said that, there are a lot reasons why I would like to become a
lawyer though. Ultimately, I just want to become a lawyer for Career
Advancement, for Greener Pasteur and Money, of course.

2. What are your expectations for this semester?

Sometimes its hard to accept new changes and things that we are not
used to. This pandemic has made us realize how steadfast time is. Towards
this semester, I expect the unexpected and probably the most unexpected
turn of event in the history making experience in the world of academe and
of course, the learning process.
Some of my expectations are hereinbelow listed, to wit:
1. The most productive semester, we can study more and defer the
travel time.
2. This semester will be full of fun as we immerse ourselves in the
use of Technology. I know at times it would be challenging for
us, but I know we can manage.
3. Just like in number one, more learning as we adopt flexible time
management
4. This semester will be very hard in terms of coverage. Semester is
compressed to 4 months only.

3. Compare "face-to-face" classes from online classes.(experience)

Delivering a lesson, as diverse as it is, should not be a reason for quality

education. Beyond the point of inquiry, I like both, they are distinct and has
unique features. For me, as an educator, comparably, there are some
notable differences.

ONLINE CLASS FACE TO FACE

1. Teachers cannot enforce 1. Teachers can enforce discipline
discipline other than prescribed in primodial to their professional life
the netiquettes.
2. Internet connectivity is the 2.Learning process is only limited to
primary reason for the interference instances that can be corrected
of the learning process outright
3. Procrastination is amplified as 3.Learning is real time.
they are taught a self paced learning Procrastination is limited as they are
monitored.

Aforementioned comparison is not limited to my Job, it is likewise

applicable to me being a student as well. As hard as it may, as I have
mentioned, both modality has its ups and downs. However, it is with the
student’s intention and dedication that supersedes the odds of both
modality.
