Lesson Plan in Poultry and Swine Production
I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson the students should be able to,
a. Define the skin,
b. Enumerate the 4 main purpose of the skin,
c. Give the different types of skin covering.
III. Methodology
a. Motivation
I will present a different pictures of the skin of animals and ask them the
following questions. What are the animals that have a skin covering like what
presented on the board? What do you think the reasons why they have like this
kind of skin? Why animals has different kind of skin or covering?
b. Lesson Proper
Today, I am going to discuss the definition of the skin. I will discuss the 4
main purpose of the skin in animals, why different animals has different skin
covering? And what is the different between the chicken and swine skin?
I will give also the different animal picture that has individual skin type
covering like furn or hair, scale, feathers, smooth skin and shells.
c. Activity
I will divide them into 4 groups and the leaders of each group will choose
a card containing the types of skin covering. The students will give an examples
of animals that has a type of skin covering they choose.
d. Generalization
What is the skin? What are the 4 purposes of skin? What is the different
between the chicken and swine skin?
IV. Evaluation
11-15. Give the animals that has the skin covering below.
