INTRODUCTION

(OJT) or On the Job Training is one way by which we students are given an

apportunity to apply the knowledge and learnings that we have learned from school by

performing in actual work setting. Colleges and Universities require their students to

undergo such training within a specific number of hours as part of the curriculum.

On the Job Training is part of College Curriculum that aims to train and orient

students about the work and their future career. It is a type of skill development where a

worker learns how to do the work through hands on experience. On the Job training is

one method by which students are explored with different work situation designed to

give students an opportunity to experience.

OJT is very important not only to teach students regarding their chosen career but

also to show students the reality about working. The students will be explored for the

actual work related to the course that they are taking. It also allows there with no

experience to work and to learn at the same time.

Work Immersion is one of the best training methods since it is well organized and

conducted in a place where students will become productive and well developed.

LEARNINGS

Learning’s that I had on my work immersion training in the COMED is by having

a lot of many experiences each day, I was exposed in the actual work in COMED,

became familiar with the documents prepared by the COMED clerk. I learned how to

use the photocopying machine, the equipment that are usually used in the office, aside

from those things I also learned to be more sociable and to adjust myself in the new

environment where I am working at and who I am working with especially in having a

good attitudes, show disciplined, respect in every employees, supervisor, manager just

like of saying the word “Good morning/afternoon”. In my more than a month of staying

there, I learned many things with not just only related on my course but also the things

that molded me into the person I am right now. As I was working as an immersy in the

COMED, I learned to become a very hardworking person. The time to finish the task

that are assigned to me is important to be done likewise do it correctly. I started to

appreciate every simplest lesson that are needed to learn in the school to be applied it

on the office. I was able to realize all important things and words before we go on the

work immersion. While in the training, I learned to communicate with other people. I

experience the things that the employees do too every day. I am inspired with the things

that the employees do that’s why I learned to be an independent person especially I am

not with my family for almost a month. After the training, I realized that on-the-job

training is not just a requirements to be completed but it is an opportunity to show what

skills, knowledge and the talents that I have and also an opportunity to experiences the

feeling of being professional already. I won’t forget my training manager who’s

challenge not just my skills and abilities but also my patience. He is a kind person who
wants everything to be done, instantly and correctly. I am so very thankful for all

employees, Ma’am Maureen A. Cresencio (COMED Clerk), Sir Ian A. Bermas

(Transitman), Sir Ramon Oaferina. (Operation and Maintenance Supervisor), Ma’am

Marietta A. Salcedo (WSM Analyst), Sir Duke Daniel O. Monsalve (Cadet Engineer) and

lastly Sir Pobleo E. Cortez. Jr. (COMED Manager). I really had a meaningful and

memorable on my work immersion at COMED. I already finish working there as a

trainee, I am looking forward working with them not as a trainee anymore but as an

engineer someday
PROBLEM ENCOUNTERED

Most of the time, there’s nothing wrong with the employers at CASURECO III

because of their kindness on us. They threat us as a true employee.

In 30 days and 240 hours of internship or on the job training, honestly there’s a

lot of challenge that we’ve encountered. Some of the Member Consumer Owners are

saying unnecessary words on us when we are answering their call. I fell hurt but still I

manage that situation.

SOLUTION, SUGGESTIONS, AND RECOMMENDATIONS

After the training, I realized that on the job training is not just a requirements to

be completed but it is an opportunity to show what skills, knowledge and talents that I

have and also an opportunity to experiences, the feeling of being a professional already

but not just the skills and abilities but also my patience.

As a student we needsome efforts to maintain this good aittudes showd during

the training in CASURECO III. I’m amazed and inspired that I experience abou the

OJT.

Honestly, work immersion is not an easy for every student like me theres a

challenge that you encountered. Some of them the unecessary words with consumers

concerned but you should know your limitation, Acceptance to be more sociable and to

adjust my self in the environment where I am working.

I suggest to all employees , representatives, and supervisors. I experience as a

one of a trainee don’t stop to accept the opportunity to show their knowledge and skill

as an student immersy.
