 For mixer capacity of 1cu. Yd. (0.76 cu.m) or smaller, continue mixing at
least 1-1/2 minutes, but not more than five minutes after ingredients are in
mixer, before any part of batch is released.

 For mixer capacity larger than 1 cu. Yd. (0.76 cu.m) increase mixing time
by 15 seconds for each additional 1 cu. Yd. (0.76 cu.m.).

structure/foundation/pipe as per approved drawing. Contractor QC Inspector will give

request for inspection to the consultant at least one day in advance to check the layout &
dimensions and get the inspection report signed off prior to start pouring activity.

All the data, grade, co-ordinates of each works done will be recorded.
This inspection will include checking of formwork, rebar fixing, size and location of
formwork, cleanliness, etc. by the client representative upon the written inspection request
raised by the QC Engineer.

6.6.2 Structural Concrete Pouring

Placement of concrete shall be in accordance with project specifications and standards.

This inspection includes approval of concrete mix design, concrete delivery ticket, pouring
equipment, vibrator, access and concrete batch time and will be reviewed by the client
representative prior to release for pouring.

between specified or approved construction joints.
 Care should be taken to prevent any foreign matter from being introduced into
concrete from any source prior to start concrete pouring.
 Proper vibrating shall be done by enough no. of vibrator, the length of hose of the
vibrator should be enough to reach the bottom of the concrete, around the rebar’s &
within formwork in successive layers. Over compaction shall be avoided to prevent
from concrete segregation.
 Location of expansion & construction joints shall be placed as per construction
drawing or as per the direction of client representative.
 Finish of concrete surfaces shall be kept as per mentioned on construction drawing
(like rough, broom, trowel or float finishes)
