ACADEMIC PROGRAM
• Standard course load is five courses for a total of 15 semester credit hours
• Depending on enrollment not all courses may be available each semester. Students will register for courses in
either November or April depending on their semester abroad.
• Apply online at studyabroad.wfu.edu and contact the Center for Global Programs & Studies at 336.758.5938 to
set up a time to meet with the program advisor.
• Note to POL students: A maximum of 9 hours from this program may count toward the major or a maximum of 3
hours from this program may count toward the minor. If 9 hours (or 3 hours for the minor) are counted, no additional
domestic transfer credits, AP credits, or courses taken abroad may be used towards the major.
• It is the student’s responsibility to speak to their major and minor advisor(s) regarding their abroad
coursework and how (or if) it will count towards their degree plan.
