1. World Wide Fund for nature - Their projects don’t only focus on food, water, and
climate, but on wildlife as well. In fact, they exert effort to ensure the survival of the rarest
and most endangered species in the country.
2. Save Philippine Seas - to promote community empowerment, environmental education,
and shark conservation.
3. Island Institute - Their local arm implements the International Monitoring Program
(IMP) which ensures that the country’s top tuna companies conform to industry
standards and practices. The organization also hold campaigns against dolphin
captivity and killings.
4. Greenpeace Philippines - to protect natural landscapes, species, and more from
environmental threats such as perilous waste imports, coal projects, and illegal
logging. Aside from promoting ecological farming, this volunteer-based group
also holds campaigns against land, air, and water pollution.
5. Galang - takes pride in being a lesbian-initiated, lesbian-run feminist human
rights organization that works with lesbians, bisexual women, and trans men
(LBT) in urban poor communities, or women who either self-identify as lesbian or
bisexual and/or have relationships with women but self-identify as heterosexual,
as well as persons labeled as females at birth but self-identify as male (trans
men).
6. Gabriela - goals are focused on women’s rights, gender discrimination, violence
against women and women’s health and reproductive rights
7. Proud Campaign Philippines - is a registered charity organization in New Zealand
that originated in the Philippines. They are a body of queer and ally Filipinos
whose aim and passion are to make a difference in the world through good
deeds.
