CALL TO PRAYER
When we gather to praise God, we remember that we are people who have
preferred our wills to his. Accepting his power to become new persons in Christ,
let us now go before God and one another.
CONGREGATIONAL PRAYER
O God, our Instructor and Guardian, you have led us from the busy world into the
quiet of your house. Grant us grace to worship you in Spirit and in truth, to the
comfort of our souls and the upbuilding of every good purpose and holy desire.
Enable us to do more perfectly the work to which you have called us: to love you
with all of our being, and to love all of our neighbors as ourself. We do this so we
may worship you not only with our lips at this hour, but in word and deed when we
leave this place. It is through Jesus Christ our Savior that we strive to accomplish
these tasks which you have committed to us. Amen.

MINISTRY SPOTLIGHT
Over the past six months, while Central’s music ensembles are shut down due to the Covid pandemic,
Frode Gundersen and Scott Montgomery have been reaching out to our congregation through virtual
music. As “Orgiano Duo,” Scott and Frode have aired 13 mini-concert videos, featuring both sacred
and classical music, which have been viewed over 51,000 times. And now they are preparing monthly
“Concerts at Central Presents” music programs, which will air on the church’s website and Facebook
page. The first concert aired on September 10. The next concert will air on October 8 at 7:00 p.m.
Currently, you can hear our talented University of Arkansas Choral Scholars sing every Sunday for
our in-person 10:45 a.m. live-stream Classic service. We are thankful that, while our large music
groups are not yet able to come together, God’s message is still being lifted up at Central through
music. This is made possible through your continued support. Thank you!
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
We are so glad that you have chosen to be with us this morning. We are mindful during this pandemic
just how special worshipping together is. In our effort to keep everyone as safe as possible, we are
asking that everyone adhere to the following directives while in the sanctuary.
1. Masks must be worn over your nose and mouth at all times.
2. Everyone is encouraged to partipate fully in the worship service, including the singing of the
hymns and responses, and the spoken liturgy. Masks must be on.
3. Please refrain from physical contact with others, outside of your family groups.
No handshaking, embracing, or touching.
4. Please remain seated and enjoy the closing voluntary. An usher will indicate when your row
may depart afterwards. You will leave via the window aisles, and exit through the north
vestibule doors.
5. We ask that you take everything with you when you leave.
