B-08 LAY PVC AND CPVC ON WALLS
1. Did you obtain the required materials and

tools?
2 Did you obtain the relevant information of
the pipeline from the plan?
3 Did you set the pipeline on the wall
accordingly?
4 Did you mark the places where brackets
are to be fixed?
5 Did you drill the wall for wall plug?
6 Did you insert the wall plug?
7 Did you fix a few bracket using the nail
underneath?
8 After keeping the pipe on those brackets
did you fix it with the other nails?
9 Subsequently,did you examine whether it
was properly done according to the plan?

SOCKETS,REDUCING SOCKETS AND
BUSHING
2. Did you decide on the place where
bends,sockets,reducing sockets etc to be
fixed according to the plan?
3. Did you decide on the required types of
pipes and quantities of
bends,socket,reducing socket and
bushing?
4. Did you obtain the necessary
materials,tool and equipment?
5. Did you measure and mark on the pipe,the
places where bends,sockets,reducing
sockets and bushings are to be fixed?
6. Did you cut the pipes according to
measured lengths and clean the pipe ends?
7. If a bend or a socket or a reducing socket
is to be fixed did you clean its ends?
8. Did you mark on the pipe the length to
which the fitting could be inserted inside
the pipe?
9. Did you apply adhesive on surface of one
end of the pipe and inside of one end of the
fittings mentioned here?
10. Did you insert the pipe into the fitting up
to the mark made on the pipe and hold it
for some time till it dried up?
11. Did you clean the surface of the fixed
joint?
12. Did you make measurements to required
length?
13. Did you out the other end to the required
length?
14. If there are other fitting,did you follow in
order the steps from 5 to 10 above and
joint pipes to the end of the fitting?
15. When fixing cpvc fitting did you insert the
cliplink and ring washer of the fitting to
the pipe?
16. To one end of the fitting did you insert the
pipe up to the cliplink
17. Did you firmly tighten the pipe and fitting
by the nails in the cliplink?
18. Did you measure and cut the length of the
pipe to be fixed on to other end of the
fitting?
19. Did you connect the pipe to the other end
of the fitting,by following the steps 14 and
15 above?

. B-10 FIX PVC AND CPVC TEE JOINT

tee joint?

of pvc pipes and their sizes

joints are to be fixed?
5. Did you clean the pipe end cut
according to measured lengths?
6. Did you clean the inside of one end of
tee joint and outside of one end of the
pipe?
7. Did you mark on pipe the length to
which the tee joint could be inserted in
to the pipe?
8. did you apply adhesive uniformly on
outside the pipe and on the inside of
one end of tee joint?
9. Did you insert the pipe up to the
marked end into the tee joint and hold
it sometime till it dried up?
10. Did you clean the surface of the fixed
joint?
11. Did you measure the required length
of the pipe to be fixed on to the tee
joint?
12. Did you follow in order the steps from
4 to 10 above to fix pipes to other two
ends?
13. Did you clean and store tools,
equipment and materials?
14. Did you decide on the place to fix the
CPVC tee joint?
15. Did you get the required length to fix
the tee joint?
16. Did you obtain the required material,
tools and equipment?
17. Did get the required measurement to
fix the joint?
18. Did you clean the end of pipe cut
according to required measurements,
end of the CPVC pipe and inside
CPVC tee?
19. Did you mark on the pipe the length to
which it could be inserted to the Tee?
20. Did you first put in the cliplink and
then the ring washer in to the selected
CPVC pipe?
21. Did you insert the pipe up to the mark
inside the Tee?
22. Did you use the selected tools to
tighten this coupling?
23. Did you cut pipes to be connected to
other two ends according to
measurements?
24. Did you follow the above steps from 17
to 22 in order?

B-15 Fix pipelines to

massage showers

place where, water supply to
shower was to be fixed?
 Did you firmly fix the system?
 Did you check the seepage of
water after activating the water
supply and the massage shower?
 If there was no seepage of water
did you clean and store the tools?

B-17 Fix flexible hose

1. Did you check whether the socket
fitted
at the end of the pipe to which the
flexible hose was to be connected
had a
male or female thread?
2. Did you select the hose according
to the
required length?

washer in the flexible hose and
place one end of the hose in the
socket, turn and check whether it
moved freely?
4. If it moved freely into the part
with
thread, did you firmly fix it using
a
shifter?
5. Did you follow the steps 3 and 4
and fix
the other end of the flexible hose?
6. Did you check whether the two
ends of the flexible hose are
properly connected by allowing
water to flow through it?
7. If there was a water leakage did
you
disconnect them and again follow
steps
3 and 4?
