BSBWRT301 Write simple documents (MLA)

S‌‌‍cenario You are a student at a high school with 1,000 students. The Principal of the school has
asked you to organise an after school sports tournament. They have also asked that you organise
a survey to find out which three sports the student body would like to compete in at the
tournament. You must write a short advertisement for the tournament. It will be published in the
school newspaper. Task The Principal has asked that you complete the following: 
• Create a simple survey for the students to complete asking which three sports they would prefer
to have in the tournament. The options for them to choose from are: ? Swimming, AFL, soccer,
tennis, rugby, squash, table tennis, and netball. 
• Write a 100 word advertisement about the tournament to be put in the school newsletter. Be
creative and add some colour to advertisement to attract school students, parents and carers to
attend the tournament.
 • Write and send an email to the Principal, with the survey and the 100-word advertisement
attached. 
The email must also have a 500-word summary of how you addressed the following criteria: 
1. How you chose the format and structure of the survey, advertisement, and email 
2. How you obtained any additional information when writing the survey, advertisement, and
email 
3. Whether you or someone else proofread the documents, and how 
4. What measures you took to ensure that the tone, format, and purpose of all documents were
suitable for the audience. 
5. How you made sure that the‌‌‍re were no spelling or grammatical errors in any of the documents 
6. Suggestions for how the Principal best store the documents for future reference To be
submitted: 
1.?The assessment instruction sheet with your name and email address fields complete. 
2.?A survey asking for which three sports students would prefer to have in the tournament. 
3.?A 100-word advertisement about the tournament 
4.?A draft of your email to the principal. The email must have a 500 word summary about how
this whole task was responded to, addressing the 6 questions posed, and follow the normal
conventions of an email. (E.g. in a Word document). 
5.?The email draft in a Word document can be combined with a screen shot of the email you
have drafted and addressed to the principal, with a copy of your survey and advertisement
attached. 
6.?The email could also be copied and pasted from your email program to a Word document for
