The Barranquilla Carnaval is a Seasonal Holiday that takes place in Colombia and beginning of the second
month of the year. The celebration usually takes place on February 13th until 16th. Before the holiday begins,
people do a kind of pre-carnavals in bars and clubs. After of that, people go to march in parades, wear customs,
decorate with color floats and throw foam, paint and cornstarch. In those days Barranquilleros and visits eat
roast, fast food, sausages and fried. This holidays is commemorate the memory and identity of Barranquilla
people and the Colombian Caribbean.
Semana Santa is a Religious Holiday that takes place in Colombia and other place of Latinoamerica. Beginning
of the thierd month and finish fourth month of the year. The commemorat usually takes place on March 13th
until April 16th. Before the holiday begins, people do a pray and and think about the penances you have to do.
After of that, people go to march in processions, go to church to pray and participate and act in Viacrusis. In
that week, people eat fried fish with rice, fish soup or too fast foods. This commemorate do for passion, death
and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
