Objectives :

special texts in the form of greeting cards

5. create a special text in the form of a greeting card.


ACTIVITY 1

(The activity 1 will be shared and carried out trough WhatsApp in groups)

In a group of five or six persons, read the following greeting cards and discuss
the about:

1. The function of greeting card 1 and greeting card 2.

2. Parts of a greeting card 1 and greeting card 2.

3. Interesting sentences or words in greeting card 1 and greeting card 2.

(activity 2 will use video conferencing on the Google Meet)

After doing activity 1, I will choose one of your group member to present the group
discussion result trough Google Meet, just be ready!

After finishing group discussions and listening to presentations from your friends,

now let's summarize the generic structure, social functions, and language features of

a greeting card using your own sentences!


At the 2nd meeting students watched the instructional video from the teacher
containing material about greeting cards, on the school website.

samples for each group)

Look at the 2 greeting cards that I have given according to your respective

groups, then discuss the similarities and the differences about social

function, generic structure and language feature of them!

After choosing the topic, do the following instruction.

1. Construct an outline of the greeting cards you will make.


2. Compose an interesting greeting cards based on the outline you made.
Consider the social function, the text structure and the language features of
the greeting cards text.
