Attended by Different Offices in the City PNP, Private Hospital
representatives, Medical Associations, Religious Sectors, DOH,
● Municipal Task Force of Las Nieves met last Friday morning and
Las Nieves laid down the following:
○ To establish 24/7 check points at 13 entry points to the
municipality utilizing Brgy. Tanods and BHWs at 3 shifts
per day and will be equipped with necessary PPEs and
thermal scanner and must undergo orientation
○ LGU to have emergency purchases of necessary meds,
supplies, PPEs and commodities.
○ To orient all Brgy. Tanods and BHWs in manning the
check points
○ To give incentives to the BHWs and Brgy. Tanods
manning the checkpoints
○ Held an orientation meeting with all PBs to convene
respective BHERTs and informed them of what has been
agreed by the Municipal Task Force and their respective
roles in monitoring and reporting.
○ After the meeting with PBs, several Municipal Task Force
members conducted a simulation exercise on Thermal
scanning and along Brgy. Tinucoran Provincial Road.
● LGU is planning to declare State of Calamity on Monday,
March 16, 2020
● All elected SB Members including the LnB President attended
the PCL National Convention in Manila last week of February

● Mayor Avelina S. Rosales attended the recently concluded LMP

less the mayor, participated by all BHERT chairpersons, and

● CLGOO attended the seminar in Cebu was subjected to home

week ago. But there were spotted visitors from nearby
municipalities.

Ongoing massive IEC and checkpoints. To augment the
workforce in the checkpoints, the LGU tapped the Barangay
officials of Bongdo and Sta. Cruz to allow their Tanods and
BHWs to help man the Checkpoints, of course with the
presence of PNP and RHU personnel.
March 24, 2020 (6:00 AM)
As of reporting time, San Benito is overall peaceful. Checkpoints
in the entrance and exit of the municipality conducted by PNP
and RHU are orderly and generally organized.
The LGU strongly advocates social distancing, in fact, even
during their fiesta week, they cancelled all the activities, and
some were rescheduled in their forthcoming Araw celebration
on September 2020.
They have disseminated the information thru ―bandilyo‖ and
other IEC materials and activities.
The LCE also issued EO restricting the entry of people in the
municipality to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Suspension of ―Bancheto‖ or Food Court
Food packs were yet to be distributed. Ongoing packaging.
PUMs were among the priority.
According to the LGU, this is not applicable since there is not
big stores/establishments in the municipality. The people get
their medicines and food in nearby municipalities.
EO No. 10 s 2020 stipulates the curfew hour which starts from
8:00 pm to 5:00am the next day. It is strictly implemented as
police conducts their regular patrolling throughout the
municipality.

The checkpoints were manned by RHU and PNP.
They also practiced social distancing and were given PPE for
their protection.
