 Mobile scaffold to be constructed by certified scaffold personnel. Engineer.
 Safety harness to be worn when erecting mobile scaffold
 Mobile scaffold should not to exceed 3 x times least base width
for working platform unless outriggers supplied.
 Correct handling methods to be used when lifting materials
 Clean area of unwanted materials and tripping hazards
 When drilling holes for brackets, safety glasses must be worn as
well as safety helmet and approved dust mask.
 Ensure drills have handles for good grip (drill bit caught in rebar)
 Works area is to be delineated.
 Electrical drill and leads to be inspected & have current
inspection sticker attached.
 All electrical tools being used to be double insulated.
 Under no circumstances are planks allowed on handrails to gain
additional height for work activities.
 Distribution boards to have ELCB

Cutting copper rod Cuts, severe lacerations, eye
injuries, electrical shock.
 Person operating grinder / cutting disc must be competent in its
safe operation.
 Cutter to be inspected and have current testing/ tagging sticker
 Gloves, protective eyewear, helmet, safety boots, and dusk mask
to be worn at all times
 When cutting use a sparks board to prevent flying objects and
remove personnel from the immediate area
 Distribution board to have ELCB
 Leads to be kept off ground as far as practical
