Needs
1. Select solid ground conditions All works to be monitored and
2. Place weight distribution timbers parallel for outrigger pads supervised at all times by
3. Extend outriggers ensuring area is clear of personnel Engineer, Superintendent,
4. Level crane ( tires to be clear of ground) Supervisor, Safety Engineer
5. Place delineation around crane perimeter
6. Extend boom to working length ensuring there are no
electrical wires overhead.
7. Check all weight lifting gauges
8. Check anti 2 block is working
9. When lifting loads ensure that level is checked and there is
no sinking of weight distribution timbers / pads
10. Ensure radio communication system is working.
11. Always keep crane outriggers and carrier body clean and
free of grease, oil, and unwanted materials.
12. Under no circumstances should any crane operation take
place unless all outriggers are fully extended and the crane
is level.
