Task 1: Cup Minefield Task 2: Trust Your Member These were the two tasks conducted which was organized by Group 1 and 2 respectively. Each group took turns and conducted their activity meanwhile the rest of the groups participated in their activity. When our group’s turn came, we had to participate and play the game. Unfortunately, our group couldn’t win both of the tasks since other groups were much quicker than us. What do you learn from your task? I learned the importance of communication with team members how crucial it is when conveying a message also listening carefully is the key. What problem/s did you encounter during the activities? I had communication issues throughout the activities as I’m an international student and most of the them were communicating in Bahasa Malaysia. Also, most of them were new faces to me. What was the cause? Almost all of the students communicate in Bahasa Malaysia which made it difficult for me to cooperate. Since I’m an introvert I have communication problems with new faces. How was the problem resolved? I requested the lecturer to inform the students that I’m an international student so they restrict themselves from communicating in Bahasa Malaysia. I did my best to come out of the comfort zone and get along with others. I believe these activities helped us to break the awkward phase with new people. How do you feel about the resolution? I feel satisfied with myself with the resolution as I got the opportunity to mingle with new people and get to know them along with my new team. What did you learn through the activities conducted as well as participated? I learned several skills throughout the activities which helped me comprehend the importance of listening and communicating. Also, I believe I got off the awkward phase as my team members and rest were friendly along with each other which made the ice breaking much simple. Confident also plays a major role to accomplish goals in life.
