Four things I learned from meeting 5’s lesson:

1. Intrinsic motivation is defined as the doing of an activity for its inherent satisfactions
rather than for some separable consequence. Intrinsic motivation means that doing
something because we enjoy it not because we want reward from it.
2. Extrinsic motivation refers to behavior that is driven by external rewards such as
money, grades, praise, reward, desire, and avoid punishment.
3. There are two factors that can influence intrinsic motivation in classroom, students’
desire and students’ interest
4. One of the ways to increase students’ intrinsic motivation in the classroom is avoid
giving extrinsic rewards such as awards because the learner is ranked first, but give
awards because the learner succeeded in asking or answering anything. Giving praises
for a learner's braveness to ask or answer something will slowly build up their
confidence and grow their intrinsic motivation in the classroom.
