CHAPTER IX

FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS

In this chapter, summary of research is required so that the statement of

findings about the research project could be finalized. The proponents gathered
data and related literatures that provides information regarding the project
proposal. Based from acquired data and information gathered, a number of
findings and conclusion have been realized. Through these findings, conclusion
have also been made.

FINDINGS
After the conduct of the research including the purpose of the project, site
selection, data gathering from various offices, ocular site visit and inspection, the
researchers have been realized from the following findings:

1. The existing Regional Government Center caters the users of eighteen

(18) government agencies at present. The site is not fully developed and
various problems have been identified such as drainage, incomplete
amenities and facilities, etc., the site is also prone to natural phenomena
such as storm surge and lahar flows.
2. Facilities and amenities that are not present in the existing such as
general parking spaces, open field for simultaneous flag ceremony, parks
or recreation area, Material Recovery Facility (MRF), Overhead Water
Tank (OHWT), Water treatment facility (WTF), etc. should be provided in
order to meet the needs of the users. Bicol Regional Government Center
is in need to integrate the above facilities to provide a streamline and
convenience work place and government center.
3. Legal parameters, laws and policies must be considered to properly
design the proposed Bicol Regional Government Center. It must conform
to the rules and standards of the National Building Code of the Philippines,
Fire Code of the Philippines, and Accessibility Law.
4. Bicol Region needs to integrate all the regional agencies in a centralized
location to provide easy access to each agencies and provide streamline
services.
CONCLUSION

From the aforesaid findings, the following are the conclusions formulated by
the researchers:
1. There is a need to provide a fully developed Regional Government Center
and provide facilities and spaces that are not present in the existing site
and a safer place for government site to become beneficial and
convenience to the users.
2. The proposed project will offer some additional facilities like general
parking space, open field, parks, recreation area, MRF, WTF, and OHWT
that will improve to meet the needs of the users.
3. The new Bicol Regional Government Center will follow the legal
parameters, laws and policies that must be considered in the study.
4. The new Bicol Regional Government Center will ingrate all the
government agencies in a centralized location to provide streamline
services.
