The technology sector has shown a drastic change over the last two decades. Information

technology and computer scientists have progressively produced new things using technology

to make work more manageable than it should have been when done by human beings.

Software developments are among the products that will never stop advancing. Software is

instructions in the form of programs and procedures that command the computer to perform

specific tasks. Software technology has been advancing for a long time, and it will not be the

same in the next five years. Even with these advancements, many industries have not fully

integrated their systems (Offutt, 2011). Software developments will be the way to go for

many fields, especially profit-making institutions since it is efficient, fast, and less expensive

with robust outcomes.

Software technology is going to change the ‘rules of the game’ in the next five years. Many

traditional industries will be disrupted if they will fail to adapt to the new system of

technology. Currently, software developments are controlling many fields in the world. For

instance, the uber company is simply a software that is among the largest taxi companies

even though they do not own cars. Generally, digital transformation is the global focus, and

the technology experts will always be ready to transform technology. This will be realized in

artificial intelligence and the machine language that will help ease some of the duties

associated with human functions (Gupta et al., 2020). Additionally, this technological

progress will change the global economy in the future. A lot has advanced in the business

industry as compared to the past. Production companies will produce more goods and

services because of technological advancement. Data analytics, which uses software, will

help many entrepreneurs make informed decisions in different fields, and the discovery of

new insights will be more comfortable.

This technology will be beneficial to me as a consumer. If deciding to start a business, it will

be sure to make more profits. For example, a restaurant will make the highest profits if it is

automated. This will reduce human errors, and customers will be satisfied. Distribution of

goods and services will be efficient since all activities such as advertisements, customer

orders, and deliveries will be made more accessible. A programmed website will be the best

form of interaction between the customer and the restaurant. Most of the work inside the

restaurant should use artificial intelligence and automation to ensure quality service. For

example, automated cookers that can regulate temperatures.
