Lesson Focus:

• In this lesson, I am focusing in teaching students the short U sounds and rhyming words
with U sound.

Lesson Outcomes

Students will be able to:

• Read short simple texts.

• Read and write words with the short u sound.

• Rhyme words with the short u sound

Before student were learning the short a sound, and in this lesson, they will be learning about
short u sound

Tr: rhyming means words they have the same sound such as cup, tub.
Tr: we have several sentences and words. We need to put the rhyming word in
correct gap.
Tr: will read the sentence and will ask students to answer.
Ss: will answer.

Third activity:
Tr: will ask students to open page 48
Tr: will present a puzzle. The puzzle has several pictures and students have to
see the pictures and identify the words, and then write each letter of the word
in the small square to complete the puzzle.

Forth activity:
Tr: will open a learning activity (online game). It presents some words.
Ss: have to sort the words with short u sound with correct, and other words
with incorrect.
