USE OF GRINDER

Power Operated Hand Tools:


1. Power-actuated tools must not be used except by those who are competent in
their use.

2. Inspect electrical extension cords, and other wiring to be certain they are
properly insulated. Do not use frayed or damaged cords.

3. Be sure the switch is off before plugging a tool cord into an electrical outlet.

4. Keep moving parts of power tools pointed away from your body.

5. Take special precautions when using power tools on a scaffold or other


locations with limited movement areas. Get good footing, use both hands, keep
cords clear of obstructions, and do not over-reach.

6. Be sure that a power tool is off and motion has stopped before setting the tool
down.

7. All Faulty or damaged equipment must be reported and returned to the


maintenance department.
Abrasive Wheels and Tools
1). Wear a proper face shield during all grinding, operations.

2). Don’t jolt, force, or jam a grinder, such use may cause the stone to shatter.

3). When using a portable grinder, make certain it is turned off and any coasting
or idling motion has stopped before putting it down.

4) When changing a disc, ensure that the machine has been switched off first.

5) Never remove safety guards from the grinders

6) Always wear hearing protection.
