Solve the number sentences of mixed operations involving addition and subtraction of
Money within RM10 000.
Teaching & learning 1. Teacher expose pupils to the process of incoming cash and outgoing cash using a bank
activities account.
2. Emphasise that any price cheaper than the original price needs to be subtracted, and price more
expensive than the original price needs to be added.
3. Provide various questions on mixed operations on addition and subtraction of money. For
example, use “more” or “less”.
4. Train pupils to estimate their daily spending.
