1. Add any two numbers using various methods with the sum within 100
Pre-lesson:-
1. Pupils recall previous lesson on addition
Activities:-
2. Teacher guides the pupils to relate addition with counting skill, learnt in Unit 1
3. Teacher guides the pupils to understand the method, by refering to page 69,
textbook. Pupils do the exercise involving complement of 10 using concrete
material and combination of 10 (HOTS)
4. Teacher explains that the biggest digit in place value is 9. When the value
becomes 10, do regrouping
PDPC ACTIVTIES 5. Pupils do addition using complement of 10 and hundredth grid, as on page 66,
textbook
6. Pupils carry out group activity. Each group gets manipulative and concrete
materials. Pupils discuss and add using the given materials (21st CA)
7. Selected groups present their findings in front of class
8. Pupils answer the given questions in the exercise book (CBA)
9. Pupils answer the questions in the activity book
Post-lesson:-
10. Teacher gives conclusion of today’s lesson
