1. Pupils listen to teacher LO.
2. Teacher helps pupils to count in tens. Teacher relates it with addition involving multiples
of 10.
3. Teacher emphasizes the correct steps to add using the standard written method.
4. Teacher uses manipulative and concrete materials in helping pupils to understand.
ACTIVITIES
5. Pupils are guide to add involving unknown using base blocks to enhance their
understanding.(HOTS)
6. In groups, pupils do addition using standard written method. (21st CA)

3. Pupils are guide to understand the method shown. Pupils do exercise to make 10 using
concrete materials and combination of 10. (HOTS)
4. Pupils uses i-Think map to visualize combination of 10. (21st CA)

5. Teacher emphasizes that the biggest digit in the place value is 9. If it is 10, do
regrouping.
