Objective - To teach and convey the idea of Child Keyboarding as it relates to activities within the classroom. The goal would be to showcase this not just through simple lecturing, but rather with the use of hands-on experience and videos within the lesson.
Overview - Helping kids with hand placement on the keyboard and how to use it correctly along with having them practice using a website.
Concept / Topic To Teach - Students will learn how to type properly on a keyboard with correct hand placement
General Goal(s) - To have students be able to type on the keyboard properly along with being able to achieve the goal of typing 7-10 words per minute
Specific Objectives - To have correct hand placement, posture, type correctly and at a consistent pace

Step-By-Step Procedures: 1. Introduce the top to the class 2. Go over more in depth using a slideshow 3. Having the class participate in challenging themselves by taking a typing test 4. Reflect on the class about any struggles they had and how they overcame them
Plan For Independent Practice: The class will have time to themselves to practice and test themselves on their newfound typing skills
Accommodations - Students will be provided with the lesson plan in hand along with the rubric that way they have a visual. The students will also be given word for word on the slideshow, and have the students will be provided with step-by-step instruction on how to use the typing websites
Possible Connections To Other Subjects: Skills can help students with typing for English and be incorporated in any class that requires keyboarded and can definitely be useful in the elementary child's later years like 5th and above year.
