SUBJECT : RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING TO THE UNIVERSITY PRESIDENT THAT THE

PROCUREMENT OF ENGINE OIL 5 LITERD / GALLON (3E9901) ET. AL. FOR PREVENTIVE
MAINTENANCE FOR 185 KVA GENERATOR SET PER PURCHASE REQUEST NUMBER
2010281 DATED NOVEMBER 9, 2020 BE AWAREDED TO MONARK EQUIPMENT
CORPORATION.

WHEREAS, Section 48, (b) of Art. XVI of R.A. 9184 provides “Direct Contracting, otherwise known as
Single Source Procurement that does not require elaborate Bidding Documents because the supplier is simply
asked to submit a price quotation or a pro-forma invoice together with the conditions of sale, which offer maybe
accepted immediately or after some negotiations;”
WHEREAS, Section 50 (c) of R.A. 9184 states “Those sold by an exclusive dealer or manufacturer, which
does not have sub-dealers selling at lower prices and for which no substitute can be obtained at more
advantageous to the Government;”
WHEREAS, Monark Equipment Corporation of AC Cortes Ave, Manduae City is the sole distributor (copy
hereto attached) with a total price amount of One Hundred Fifteen Thousand Six Hundred Fifty – Three Pesos (Php
115,653.00);
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the procurement of Engine Oil
5 liters / gallon (3E9901) Et. Al. for preventive maintenance for 185 KVA Generatir Set per purchase request
number 2010281 dated November 9, 2020 be awarded to Monark Equipment Corporation of AC Cortes Ave,
Manduae City.
