The United Nations Development Programme is seeking applications from dynamic and highly motivated
Myanmar nationals for the following vacancy with Resident Coordinator Office, Myanmar.

Title: National Coordination and Liaison Officer (Net Salary min. USD 1,860, mid. 2,083 based
on the relevant experience)
Require posts Two posts (Myitkyina and Lashio)
Duty Station: Myitkyina and Lashio
Grade: SC8 (SB4)
Contract Type: Service Contract
Contract Duration: 1 Year with possibility for extension

Education:
• Master’s Degree or equivalent in Economics, Social Sciences, International Relations, Political Sciences or
related field.
• A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be
accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Experience:
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience with a Master’s degree, or minimum 3 years with Bachelor’s
degree of relevant experience at the national or international level in conducting policy analysis,
providing management advisory services, and hands-on experience in coordinating and liaising with a
myriad of stakeholders including government institutions.
• Knowledge about the UN and UN coordination would be an advantage.
• Understanding of the complexities of peace, political and development challenges would be an
advantage.
• Ability to handle sensitive topics and/or situations with diplomacy and tact.
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Word.
Language Requirements:
• Fluency in relevant Myanmar language(s) and working-level competency in English, both oral and written
is required.
