Lesson 4: Project Plan for Sleeping Garments

Construction of sleeping garment is just like cooking a recipe for the party that requires careful
planning. In every project you have it should be accompanied with a project plan. It will serve as guide in
making any kind of garments.

Components of Project Plan

1. Project Plan No. - reflects the number of projects.

2. Date Begun- date when the construction project will start.
3. Date Finished – the exact date when the project will be completed.
4. Name of the Project – a specific description of the project.
5. Objectives- states the purpose why the project should be done. It is stated in three domains.
6. Word Study- unlocked the different terms in a project.
7. Tools and Equipment- list of tools and equipment needed in the project.
8. Materials and Supplies Needed- the itemized list of tools and supplies.
9. Design Specification- the photographic presentation of the project.
10. Procedure- chronological steps or operation involved.
11. Evaluation – process of assessing the finished project with is given criteria.

tool.

III. In sewing, it will be easier if we have the pattern. In order to understand the pattern, we need to
know the different pattern symbols or construction markings used in sewing. These are the following
symbols that commonly used in making a pattern: straight grain, pleat, notches, fold, dots, slash,
cutting lines, buttonholes, buttons, stitching line, fold, line, and center fold.

III. In making a project we need to have a project plan. This serve as our blueprint for us be careful in
planning. In every task there is always a project plan. Project plan has different components namely
the following: project plan number, date begun, date finished, name of the project, objectives,
word study, tools and equipment, materials and supplies needed, design specification,
procedure and the evaluation.
