5. Participation
• Speak slowly and clearly.
• Speak louder than you normally talk:
• Make sure your voice carries so it is picked up on your microphone.
• Don’t be afraid to project your voice, too!
• Your team will appreciate being able to hear you without having to strain
their ears or turn their volume all the way up.
6. Be Considerate
Be considerate! Don’t Interrupt! Let other people speak, then when they're
done, speak, and when finished, mute your mic and give the floor to
someone else.
7. Mute your microphone when you are not talking
Eliminate all conversations not intended for everyone. This will improve
both our experience and overall discussion forum efficiency.
8. Leave the keyboard alone!
The sound of your typing could distract others who are in the same
meeting.
If you need to take notes, use a pen and a notebook.
9. Respect Diversity:
Our virtual classroom should be, without question, a safe space for
people of all races, genders, sexes, ages, sexual orientations, religions,
disabilities and socioeconomic statuses.
