Course Description The National Service Training Program – Civic Welfare Training Service 1 (NSTP – CWTS 1) is a course for both male and female
students in baccalaureate degree or in at least two year’s technical / vocational course in both public and private educational institution.
Purposely, the NSTP – CWTS 1, as a service program intended for the youth, is aimed at training the students for good and responsible
citizenship invoking ethic service, altruism, patriotism, and nationalism with the end in view of empowering them to assume community
leadership toward national development through local initiatives. It covers programs and activities of the dimension of development namely
education, environment, health and safety, livelihood, moral development and citizenry for the purpose of empowering them in becoming a
potent resource for community development.

Course Policies 1. Attendance shall be monitored every meeting for the teacher to be aware of who have been attending the class and who need to be
followed up to assist them in coping with learning in the new normal.
2. Participation shall be in the form of recitation through comments in the chat / comment session of the platform and /or answer to question
given by the trainer during synchronous classes. A chat group may also be used where trainers may send out questions, the answer to
which shall be graded as participation to gauge student’s learning. Activities for the same purpose may also be posted in the GC. Students
are expected to prepare for each class by doing assigned readings, so they can participate in class discussion. Asking question and
sharing personal experience or current information from their own readings related to the topic being discussed is encouraged.
3. Submission of requirements shall be accepted in online mode. Trainers shall identify apps and / or links where students may submit their
requirements online. Class assignment must be submitted a week after the online class or before synchronous classes.
4. Honesty should be practiced at all times. Any student caught cheating in the test / exam shall receive a falling grade for that test / exam.
5. If a student misses a test. He / she should speak with the trainer immediately for alternative arrangements.
6. Proper and necessary protocols and netiquettes for online classes must be strictly followed to ensure an online classroom conductive to
