1. About the Project: [250-500 Words]

 INTRODUCTION:
There is a famous proverb “cleanliness is next to godliness”. The machine which we will
design and fabricate implicate this, called as “automatic shoe polishing machine” • Most of
the industries, hospitals and educational institutions having most preserved laboratories like
computer labs, instrumentation labs, operational theatre and various production ,assembly
sites in chemical, pharmaceutical industries etc., have to be free from dust and dirt which
would be carried through shoes of the employees to the work area, causing untidy
environment and also sometimes hazardous to the working environment.

 COMPONENTS:

1. Horsehair pre-cleaning brush

2. Pre-cleaning brush
3. Polishing brushes

4. power transmitting motor

5. gearing arrangement

6. polishing oil

 Mechanism: A DC motor is connected to 3 gears, through a power transmitting mechanism.

Each gear is fitted on a spindle respectively. i.e. 1, 2 and 3. On a spindle 1 a polishing brush
is attached. and a polishing oil is leaked though the spores of the brush. and an upper portion
of the shoe is also clean. on a spindle 2 side cleaning brushing arrangement is situated. So,
the side portion of the shoe is clean. The sole is clean by sole cleaning brush, which is
mounted on a 3rd spindle.

 Applications:

1. Home

2. Hospital

3. Airport

4. Offices

5. Hostel etc…

 OBJECTIVES:
The objective of this project is listed below,
1. Reduce human effort.
2. To improve the quality of polishing the shoe
3. To reduce the time of operation
4. To reduce the material waste
5. To improve shining of the shoe
6. To combining the operation like cleaning and polishing at one place

 DESIGN OF MACHINE:
The schematic representation of the conceptual model A for Shoe sole cleaning with
polishing machine is as shown through a 3-D CAD model in Fig 3.1

Fig 3.1: First conceptual model (A) for shoe sole cleaning with polishing machine In the figure3.1,

the machine relates to shoe sole cleaning (removing of dust, sand and any other unwanted
material attached to the sole) and also helps in polishing the shoe.
