“ A pavilion that exudes flamboyance, beauty and functionality to every utilizer”

I derive my design through a Pangolin and a tetrahedron. I always thought of pangolins as

bizarrely attractive animals especially its scales, it can roll and secrets odorous gas to its enemies
and can live without a pack, as connection to my design in any area it can be placed it goes well
and doesn’t get outshined by other buildings. And a tetrahedron for I thought that both of them
matches together because the pangolin’s scales are closely triangle. With this, I want to come up
with a sun protector and a weather resistant pavilion that accommodates decent amount of
people.

Design Philosophy

“ Architecture is really about well-being. I think that the people want to feel good in a space …
on the one hand it’s about a shelter but it’s also about pleasure.”

-Zaha Hadid

Architecture is about giving people dopamine through visuals and the experience. At the
same time it should be utilitarian and artistic, for I believe functionality and beauty weighs more
than just the beauty itself and with that feature it makes it more that just a building. As for my
design I want the users to feel that way protection in any season in any time of day.
Design Objectives

 To design an aesthetically pleasing pavilion which holds a distinct purpose.

 To create a design that is adaptable to the area as well as the buildings, specifically in the
center of a city with modern establishments.

 To properly place it facing east which the sun rises and is healthy for the users. On the
other hand, place the other end that serves as a shade to the skin-burning ray of the sun
during noon and late afternoon while leaving enough space to enjoy the view of the sun
set.

Considerations

 This pavilion will be placed at a park and at the center of the city, to showcase its beauty
and functionality.
 It holds a decent amount of people not fully cramped as consideration for the corona
virus, enjoying whilst following the protocols.
 A modern designed pavilion to adapt the aesthetics of the city.
