Checklist for Cast-in-Situ Concrete Piles:

 The location.
 Pile diameter
 Bore depth in soil
 Bore depth by chiselling
 Rate of chiselling in mm/hour.
 Quantity of cement consumed per pile.
 Centre line of pile shall be checked. Deviation of 50 mm for piles up to 600mm dia.&
100mm for piles more than 600mm dia.are the tolerances for single pile. Piles in a group
having more than 600mm. dia, the deviation from actual position should be 75mm.or D/10
whichever is more, where D is the diameter of the pile.
 Reinforcement shall be as per drawing.
 Specified ring type cover blocks to rebar shall be used.
 Tying of rebar shall be rigidly done.
 In case of lap, in vertical/main bar shall be welded as per the standard sketch.

 Verticality of boreholes shall be within 2% of the pile length.
 Positioning of rebar cage has to be done centrally in the boreholes.
 Positioning of the cage reinforcement shall be done after placing a batch of concrete in the
bore hole to avoid direct contact of rebar with soil.
 Both coarse & fine aggregate Quality including cleanliness shall be checked as per order
specification.
 Mix proportioning and batching shall be checked as per design.
 Slump shall be within allowable limits (100mm. to 180mm.)
 Required number of samples shall be taken from poured concrete for ascertaining strength of
concrete as per clause No. 14.2.2 of IS456.
 Casting shall be done up to required level as indicated in the drawing
 Actual numbers of cement bags used in each pile shall be recorded.
 Placing of concrete in the bore holes shall be through tremie/placer as approved.
 Any abnormalities occurred during casting of pile shall also be recorded in the pile data
record.

Check List For Formwork:


Following items should be considered while checking the form work:
 Discard damaged shuttering board and week supporting member
 Oiled the shuttering boards after cleaning the adherent materials
 Before fixing form work ensured that the concrete construction joints are well prepared and
cleaned
 Provide shuttering, maintain line level and accurate dimensions of the structures as given in
the drawing
 Check rigidity of the lateral and the bottom support
 Provide bearing plates of sufficient area below the vertical props.
 Check the level of the completed form work to avoid reverse slope
 Sill the gaps of shuttering boards by packing jute or any other materials.
 Strip the shuttering boards as per specified times.

Checklist for Major Concreting:

Check List For Reinforced Concrete Pipes Conforming To Standard:


 Class of pipes and nominal internal diameter.
 Length of each pipe.
 Grade of concrete mix used for making concrete 20 N/Sq mm.
 In case of hand mixing 10% extra cement added.
 Reinforcements used conforms to Hard Drawn Steel Wire conforming to Is 432.
 Quantity of steel used in Kg/RM.
 Internal dia of pipes-Pipe end faces to be checked, it should be Square to longitudinal axis.
 Inside/out side surface should be from:

c) Cracks
d) Exposure of reinforcements.
