The unit is skid mounted, and complete with in- and outlet manifold, double gate valves on the inlet and
connections to register differential pressure across the filters

It is the first solids filtration unit, where ANNULAR flow is applied in the vessel, to increase
Sand storage capacity, as well as reducing particle velocity across the filters and thus increasing
filter life.

Critical parts in the filter vessel (inlet area) are designed as disposable, in order to give the
Vessel a low cost wear protection.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The sand-filter consists of two vertical vessels, each vessel holding one inner filter assembly. The two vessels are
manifold on a skid such; those one or both vessels can be on-stream at any time.
Normally, one vessel is in use, in order to facilitate cleaning of the other.

The product flow-path through the filter is "outside-in" to increase the filter contact area, reducing actual wear on the
filter element.

FILTRATION SYSTEM

The Wire Screen filter consists of one element, which is mounted concentrically. Opposite to the Laser Cut Screen, The
Wire Screen filter has more slots. The filter assembly element can be altered in an early manufacturing stage, if
required by the application

The inner filter elements are designed to stop sand/debris transport, without obstructing Liquid and or gas flow through
the unit.

Gas velocities across the filter elements are greatly reduced, minimising actual filter wear and increasing its life span.

CLEANING

A series of high-pressure water injection nozzles are positioned on the outer vessel diameter, to
facilitate sand removal between vessel and filter element.
The sand/water mixture is flushed out off the vessel through 2" cleaning hatches, positioned on the bottom
end of the outer vessel.
Cleaning / flushing time per vessel approx. 15 minutes.

FILTER ELEMENT REMOVAL IS NOT REQUIRED DURING OPERATION

If, at a point, the filter element requires inspection or replacement due to physical wear, the entire
element can be retrieved from the outer vessel top-end.

NACE MR-01-75/ISO15156. The valves are level PSL- 3 documented.

For the removal of the filter screens there are 2 Jin poles with chain hoists available fully certified.
The removing of the screens is only necessary for changing to another size or integrity inspection of the installed
screens.
The cleaning of the screens will be achieved by flushing from the outside using an air driven membrane pump with
2” fig 206 weco couplings (and spare membranes).
There are no extra screens, standard in the Filter Unit package but they are optional. On long term operations there
is a toolbox / container travelling with the Filter Unit with a selection of consumable spares e.g. gaskets, gauge,
valves etc. which are necessary for operating and maintaining the Unit.

The volume (annular space) between filter screen and body is approx. 125 L for each filter. The filter pot each is
approx. 200 L.
