The Mathematics Activity Sheet will help you facilitate the leaching-learning
activities specified in each Most Essential Learning Competency (MELC) with
minimal or no face-to-face encounter between you and learner. This will be made
available to the learners with the references/links to ease the independent learning.
This Learning Activity Sheet is made for you to learn about place value and
value of a digit of a given decimal number through ten thousandths which can
be applied in real-life situations especially in expressing money amounts, time,
weight and length.
The term decimal is derived from the Latin word decimus which
means tenth. This implies that decimals have ten as its base. For
example, if one is divided into 10 equal parts, each part is one tenth or
0.1 in decimal form or in fraction form.
