2 - Planning for the Implementation of Individual/LAC Group Presentation on Unpacking of a Sample MELC
LDM2 for Teachers (optional but highly recommended)

Reflection Questions:
 After answering and going through the outputs of your co-teachers, what do you think are the adjustments that
the teachers need to make in lesson planning?
 What are the steps that you and your department/subject area teachers can do to assist/guide them through these
changes? What are the changes you need to make as a Master Teacher/Head Teacher as you lead your group
through these changes?
 If there is a curriculum initiative by your region or division, such as developing the Budget of Work per subject
area that is based on the MELCS, how will you guide teachers in bridging the connection of MELCS and this
sample initiative?

Reflection:

As I read the different outputs of my co-teachers in their study notebooks, I found out that they
need a technical assistance to adapt in the new normal platforms and modalities that they will
use in the distance learning this school year. I honestly accepted that even me as a leader has
a big adjustment in this new normal. One of the big challenges in the Department of Araling
Panlipunan were the teachers who are not really major in AP. Big adjustment for some of them
because they do not have trainings and experience on how to make lesson plans in the subject
that they will teach.
As a LAC Leader as well as a coordinator in Araling Panlipunan Department my first step for my
co-teachers is to have a Learning Action Cell about the critical content of the subjects that will
teach in Araling Panlipunan. I should also invite speakers who are very knowledgeable in every
topics in Araling Panlipunan. Second step, I will train and assist them in different strategies on
how to teach the Araling Panlipunan subject. Lastly, I share to them my resources and my
knowledge on how to make IMs, activity sheets and DLPs that they will use this new normal of
teaching in Araling Panlipunan.
I will guide them to the best of my ability. I will not be stingy in knowledge and skills that I
already know specially my co-teachers are not Social Studies major. I will help them and extend
a helping hands so that they will be equip too this new normal of teaching. According to
Quotes.Gate “ A person’s most useful asset is not a head of full of knowledge, but a heart full
of love, an ear ready to listen and a hand willing to help others.”

Module Output (Optional, but Highly Recommended)
3A - Lesson Design and Assessment in List of targeted learning interventions + Learning tasks for DL + Assessment
the Modalities methods in DL (optional but highly recommended)

Reflection Questions:

 How can these lists of interventions help the teachers teach better in the new learning delivery modality? Why is
it important for every teacher in your team to have them?
 What are the challenges in developing learning tasks in a Distance Learning environment? What key
competencies would you need to assist teachers in?
 What is the difference in assessing students in between traditional and Distance Learning modalities? How can
you guide teachers in bridging these gaps?

Reflection:
At the beginning of the school year, the teacher should clearly establish the needs of the
students in the distance learning mode of modality which is Modular (print). In almost every
section there will be students who require special consideration. Remember, the teacher is not
expected to provide totally different programs to students; rather, the differences can be
managed using a variety of approaches. With the list of interventions, teacher can be easily
track those students who are not successful in accomplishing their modules on time or rather
say they did not or answer mostly the activities in the module. It is very important that every
teacher in my team have a list of interventions so that we can have a plan or determine the best
methods to address our students’ needs.
Teachers may experience a hard time expressing instructional content to their students,
especially long and complex activities in the modules. The physical distance also proposed a
difficulty in obtaining students' level of understanding in terms of course content. I need to
assist my co-teachers in giving them appropriate plan for intervention suited to the learners
need.
Assessment is one of the crucial components of the instruction. One of the challenges this
distance learning is to build learning environment without seeing each learner in face to face.
And because we are using modular as a modality, it is a big challenge on how to assess each
learners the evaluation that they deserve. Traditional assessment is very reliable, practical and
easy to evaluate learners’ output while distance learning modalities are quite challenging is
most viable for independent learners and learners supported by periodic supervision of parent
or guardians. To bridge these gaps me and my team will plan and think of ways on how we can
easily assess our learners. We could also seek help to our Education Supervisor in AP for the
strategies and assessment techniques that we can use this distance learning. According to
Mattie J.T. Stepanek:“ Unity is strength… when there is teamwork and collaboration, wonderful
things can be achieved.”

performing well with the new learning modality, what are the steps you shall take to guide teachers in addressing
this matter?

Reflection:
As a subject coordinator and LAC Leader, it is my responsibility to help and guide my co-
teachers in assisting students who are lagging behind. I will give them technical assistance on
how to deal with this kind of concerns so that appropriate intervention will be given to those
who students who are unsuccessful to their modules. I will share to my co-teachers my
resources in Araling Panlipunan so that they can easily make additional activities for their
intervention program. The right intervention materials must be assessed if it is in line with
MELCs and addresses the learning need of the learner.
Communication with the learning facilitator is highly encouraged to monitor student’s progress.
It will be done by the concern adviser. The subject coordinator will monitor the progress every

3B – Learning Resources Two (2) accomplished LR Rapid Assessment Tools with reflections

Reflection Questions:

 Given the abrupt changes that happened to the learning situation in our country due to the pandemic, what can
you do to help build the learning resources for both teachers and students in your school?

Reflection:
As a subject coordinator I will extend my help to my co teachers as well as to my students. We
all adjusting to the new normal, instead of being stingy and complaining, do the right thing
which is to help. I will assist them to explore the world of technology. Introduce to them the
learning portals which is made by the Department of Education, like DepEd Commons and
LRMDS. Explore the different platforms that can be use by the teachers as well as the learners;
examples of these are: Canva, Kahoot, Monster Math, Quipper and other platforms. As part of a
teacher, we can attend webinars that can help us build the learning resources and other IMs for
this new normal. Teachers and students should be remain open to learn new things, because
life is a continuous learning, if we don’t learn, we don’t grow. We can never go back in time in
our old normal we should accept changes.

4 – PD and LAC Planning Finalized LDM Individual Development Plan (produced after discussion
during LAC)

Reflection Questions:

 How can I help further assist/guide the development of competencies of the teachers in my department?

Reflection:
To further assist and guide the development of competencies of the teachers in my team, as a
Leader, we need to develop in them the professional practice. Allow them to reflect on their way
of teaching especially in distance learning. I will help them establish goals for professional and
instructional development. Maintain a positive thinking about our teaching profession even if it
is very challenging year for us because if we have positive thinking, positive outcome will be
established. Good relationship in a work place is also needed to improve professional and
instructional practice. I will never get tired helping my team as much as I can.

Conclusion (State the overall impact or lesson learned):

Teacher are proving that they are more than just content deliverers and that distance learning
has not meant relational distance. Teachers are amazing because they have patience. They define
multitasking. They are smart. They always make it work especially in this Pandemic times. They are
very dedicated. They never give up. They are very helpless. And they deserve to be called
“Superheroes.”
In this course I learned a lot. I learned to be patience, understanding and extend my help to my
colleagues. For me this is not just a course it is a life learned lessons that can teacher use to achieved
his/her goals as a Teacher this New Normal. In this course we build friendships, we build a team and
most of all we build mission and vision to our country as well as to our learners. At the end of this course
I can only say that this is one of my “Happy Pagod” journey.
