Design Brief

Designer: The Engineer

Client: Acme Fireplace Company

Problem Statement: The engineer must redesign the fireplace control circuit
for their latest residential gas fireplace

Design Statement: We must design, build and test a fireplace control circuit.

Criteria:
● emergency cut-off value should remain open as long as three of the four
sensors indicate that a flame is present.
● add a second output indicator to the control circuit

Constraints:

● Materials
● Time

Conclusion

5
In conclusion we learned more about making circuits and karnaugh
mapping. This taught us more about multisim and how to make circuits
on it. We also went back over a design brief which we learned about last
year so it was reimplemented in this assignment. I also created a truth
table and the expressions for the fireplace. This was all used to create a
fireplace circuit.
