TEACHERS are the role models. They are the people who set best example of a noble
profession. Being a teacher means being part of something big in our society. And as a teacher I
believe that It education should be a part of everyone’s life for with a good education offers
something for everyone, whether it be on the simple level or a more complex one.
I’m a Technology and Livelihood Teacher. As a teacher in general, you will know that the
classroom is a place where there will be many and different kinds of students. School is a home
for people who want to have good and accurate education in life. And the classroom is
considered a dynamic environment as it brings together students from different backgrounds with
various abilities and personalities.
And in order for a teacher to become an effective one, it is crucial for him or her think of creative
and innovative teaching strategies. Good teachers know how handle a classroom even though the
classroom has different kinds of people that needs different kinds of learning. And as a TLE
teacher, I’ve come up with some ideas and ways to teach TLE effective in the classroom. 1. Let
them understand first TLE’s importance TLE is a subject that creates impact to the students’
personal lives. Since TLE has five components are, it would be very helpful for students to
understand first why TLE is important in our society and most importantly, in our lives. 2.
Importance of visuals Visuals are said to be an easy way to teach students in school. And yes it
is. Using interactive visuals during TLE classes can help the students to gain more knowledge
and learning experiences. Also, this is a great way to entertain the students using academic
concepts. 3. Hands-on teaching TLE is a subject that deals mostly using hands-on teaching.
Collaborative approach in this aspect is significant as it helps the students to be physically,
mentally, and socially active. Also, hands-on teaching requires students to explore TLE in their
own way making them to do service learning method which surely can increase motivation and
retention of academic skills as specific learning goals are tied to community needs. By solving
real problems and addressing real needs, students learn to apply classroom learning to real word
context. It provides more authenticity and purpose for classroom learning. (Paid article)
