Cell
 Source of current or electricity.
Battery
 A group of two or more cells joined together which
is used as a source of current.
Resistor
 A device that slows down the flow of electrons.
Switch
 Used to control the flow of electrons in a circuit.
Fuse
 Used to protect the circuit from too much flow of
current.
Ammeter
 Used to measure the flow of current.

Voltmeter
 Used to measure voltage.
Ohmmeter
 Measures resistance.
Wattmeter
 Measures electric power.
Transformer
 Changes AC voltage from high to low or low to
high.
Inductor
 A device made of a coil of conducting wire that
stores energy in a magnetic field.
Electric Wire
 Conductor of electrical current.
Capacitor
 Used to store electric charge/s.

Diode
 A device used to allows current flow in one
direction.
Light Emitting Diode (LED)
 Acts as an indicator which lights up when there is a
current flow.

Direct Current (DC)


 Current that flows in one direction only.

Alternating Current (AC)


 A current whose flow reverses periodically and is
typically used in power supplies.
Generator
 Generates electrical voltage by mechanical
rotation.
