Things to add to Hitman, from research.

Scene where a guard is dealt with quicker than the audience can think, to show element of
shock and how hitmen work.

Show a scene where the hitman goes undercover, showing how they have to fit in at times to
keep on the low.

Background information on character became a hitman because his uncle needed help with a
hit on a known criminal, so he thought it was a good thing. This is similar to Brazilian
Hitman Julio Santana.

Like in real situation, the price for completing the contract because of how well known and
prominent the target is. It is also very difficult to pull off and shows how much of a struggle it
will be for my hitman to do it

My hitman is show between the ranks of Novice and Dilettante.

Hit is set on a Tuesday, as this is the most common day for real life Hits, there will be a shot
of a calendar to show this reference.

They party that hired the hitman become inpatient after a while and start to threaten him to
speed up with it as the hit holds such high financial value.

Plot point: My hitman takes a performance enhancer, this makes more sense to why he goes
from being novice to notably more skill during the production – this was a plot point that my
target audience loved, too.

Needs to show panic of emotions after his first kill- exactly how a badly trained hitman does.
To be a good hitman you need to hide your emotions during a hit, which my hitman learns
the hard way. He gradually becomes more ruthless the more people he kills. He struggled to
de-personalize victims and from research I’ve learnt this is key to being a successful hitman.

Like a dilettante he primarily uses firearms, no rifles as he has to be quiet and not skilled
enough for a sniper.

‘OBE’, a technique used in gangs/hitmen. Knowns as one behind the ear.

Clothing: Protagonist – Smart/Suit + Red tie to make him stand out.

Antagonist: Dark clothing, masks to add to mysterious tone.

Cinematography: Use of POV shots, close ups to show emotion and remind audience they are
human

Antagonist name is ‘Abaddon’, the Hebrew name for ‘destroyer’ hinting to what he’s done
and possibly foreshadowing his plans. Similar to Satin/Safin links in Bond.

Close ups even in fight scenes to remind audience they’re human and add empathy
Cliff-hanger/Unexpected ending, learnt from target audience research that they strongly
dislike ending as a ‘dream’, as that was in one of the sample short films I Included in my
survey.

Reduce the comedy to a little; show more action and blood – learnt from target audience
survey.

Protagonist struggles to read emotions of others, asks stupid questions.

Student lifestyle, heavy load of paperwork and fast food wrappers and bags as students are
reliant on it.
