Hitman Presentation

By Josh R
Context

• Short film about a student- who turns to becoming a

hitman when in search of money. I chose short film as I
enjoy them most and have most experience making them

• Following a strict production schedule that will allow me

to complete everything to a high standard with time for
extra feedback and improvements.

• I Wanted to produce this because it is ambitious,

passionate about Hitman films, too.
Competition
• Raindance film festival, UK’s biggest independent film festival
• Last year it was cancelled during covid pandemic
• Global recognition, previous winners even nominated for
OSCARS

• Gives me full creative control, no real restrictions on the brief

• Cost will be £50 as I enter in the ’late deadline’

My idea
• Young boy getting robbed, with a man stealing a large diamond.
• Student who who was browsing the dark web comes across an add,
for a hit & needs money so decides to ask for more details -
£500,000 Hit.
• Contractor shows who took the diamond and where their hideout is,
as they are a well-known group who have killed 1300 people before,
targeting the rich.
Hitman is given a performance enhancing drug, told to take it before
he does the hit.
My idea
• My hitman breaks into the location where his Abaddon and his
guards are but suffers from the side effect of the performance
enhancer and collapses with an irritating screech in his head.
• He is captured until the performance enhancer kicks in, where
he goes from looking shaky and lacking any skill to calm and
composed like a master hitman.
• He faces off with the guards, whilst Abaddon attempts to flee
when he feels in danger.
My idea
• One of the guards' approaches Abaddon who starts celebrating but it is
the hitman, who tricked him by dressing into the guards' clothes.
• Abaddon is defeated, then the ending scene starts with my hitman
looking accomplished going into his car, when he calls the contractor and
receives his payment
• On the phone, he claims to have not seen the diamond, but his job was
the hit.
• The ending shot shows him receive his payment, and as he starts his car
looks up to the sun through the diamond he is holding, stealing it from
Abaddon, worth £13 Million pounds.
Why I want to produce this
• Unique

• Popular genre

• Always wanted to do a true hitman film, but wasn’t confident enough

Social context
• Does not target any specific race or group, but some groups dislike
seeing killing on films, even banned in some countries.

• Some won’t support the main character, as he is killing for money,

but to out do this I tried
Target audience
• Late Adolescence (Young Adulthood), ages 16-21

• Researched multiple ways to obtain as much information on them

as possible, knowing it was effective research
How I implemented my
research into my idea
• I kept a notepad and every time I wanted to add
something from research, I would write it

• Past productions I have not done this and forgotten

to add aspects that could have improved my grade
Anticipated Problems
• To make it as high quality as I aim for, I knew I wouldn’t have a
sufficient budget, so I decided to do a fundraiser.
Why a fundraiser?
• High quality props, one of the most important things in my
production according to target audience

• Better equipment, higher quality overall

• Authentic Music score

• Costumes
Anticipated Problems
• I wanted to choose my actors wisely, as in past productions I feel
this is something that has let me down
• I chose a filming slot for Easter Holidays where all of them will be
available
• I Also contacted two others who are back-up actors incase anyone
cancels on the day.
Due to covid I will be making actors social distance when needed,
provide hand sanitizer too and keep crew to a minimum
