throughout. Troublesome interfaces at junctions
between different materials are therefore ruled out.
Components particularly at risk, e.g. the mast–chassis
connection, are specially strengthened in all DAMBACH
MINI-LOAD SRMs.

Modular Drives:
For Many Requirements
Depending on performance requirements, various
drive modules can be fitted for travelling and maneu
vering: single or twin wheel drive, or twin wheel plus
antisway drive. The drive modules are connected to
the chassis via standard interfaces and therefore are
easily exchanged should the warehouse situation
change in the future.

And where even more performance is needed, a third

drive unit can be installed to reduce the overturning
moment and damp vibrations. Faster positioning times
with high acceleration are the result. The modular
concept also allows the performance of the SRMs to
be upgraded later.

Lifting operations are carried out by an integral lifting

and lowering rope that pulls the load handling device
up and down. The high a cceleration d
 uring lifting
and lowering ensures shorter cycle times.

No Compromises:
Perfectly Synchronized
Control
When great heights and small approach tolerances are
involved, positioning can be carried out – as an option
– with a camera directly in the racking.

The drive wheels of the twin wheel drive or twin wheel

plus antisway drive are driven via a slip-based torque
control. This compensates for the different rotational
speeds of the wheels and hence reduces the wear on
the wheels.

The lifting ropes are fitted with overload stress sensors

to increase operational safety and protect the load
handling equipment against mechanical damage in
the event of malfunctions. Fitting the optional energy
recovery system to the DAMBACH SRM control improves
the energy balance and also reduces operating costs.
