Goals and Objectives:

Courageous Cubs Childcare Center

Goal 1: To better understand how to deal with conflict and misbehavior in a classroom setting.
Objective 1: I will follow the daycare guidelines for how to handle conflict, such as
remaining patient and calm while using redirection, reevaluation, and emotion coaching.
Objective 2: I will use the knowledge I have gain in previous classes to determine the
underlying emotion behind a child’s actions and act accordingly.

Goal 2: To create a stable and balanced routine for the children on a daily basis.
Objective 1: I will follow the recommended timeline for activities, snacks, and clean-up
Objective 2: I will use repetition in my language and actions to create a sense of
familiarity in the classroom for each child.

Goal 3: To practice maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Objective 1: I will sanitize the toys and classroom on a regular basis to prevent the spread
of illnesses.
Objective 2: I will consistently monitor the layout of the classroom, the toys, and the
children’s words and actions to keep a physically and emotionally safe environment for each
individual.

Goal 4: To create strong and trusting relationships with the children and their parents
Objective 1: I will take daily notes on each child throughout the day and provide it to the
child’s parents to maintain a sense of transparency and trust in the classroom.
Objective 2: I will remain honest, attune to a child’s individual needs, keep promises, and
make time for each child to create a sense of trust throughout the classroom.
