NOTE: (1) Instruments to be used for carrying out the survey may be either
Non-contact Infra-red gun or Thermography Camera.
(2) If variation in temperature between terminals are more than 5 degrees
Celsius, action for rectification to be taken.
(3) The survey to be carried out before on-set of peak summer every year.
(4) If load unbalance is result of unequal temperature rise, same may be
corrected as far as possible
(5) To establish the correct data, the readings to be taken after running of the
equipments for a minimum period of 15 mins. on full load.
(6) For taking the temperature reading, all the terminals, both at motor side
and feeder side is to be exposed.
(7) Reference temperature indicates the equipment body temperature
