Measure vibration and temperature as follows during motor uncoupled run
up to 90 min. for motors rated over 1kVac and 60 min. for others or temperaturer was stabil
Vibration Measure velocity at bearing housings in the horizontal,
vertical and axial directions during motor uncoupled run.
Temperature Measure surface temperature of bearing housings by
non-contact type instrument during motor uncoupled run.

PROCEDURE
Before starting the Engine pump test, the following conditions shall be established
1 Verity that all erection works is completed without major pending items that will hinder the execution of the test.
2 Make sure coupling disconnected from the Engine to Pump
3 Make sure the battery connection is tight
4 Make sure the engine oil is correct level
5 Make sure the Fuel valve is open position
6 Make sure the cooling system is good condition
7 Make sure the heater good function
8 Make sure the belt tension of radiator cooling and alternator are tight.
9 Ensure that required instruments are properly installed and functional
10 Confirm that the startup permissive conditions are established
11 Confirm that the diesel engine day tank is at normal level.
12 The pump to be tested and its related components are secured with proper tagging and clearance.
MANUAL RUNNING
To start engine :
1 Position mode selector switch to MANUAL RUN
2 Lift and hold MANUAL CRANK #1 until engine starts or release after 15 seconds. IF unit fails to start, wait for 15 seconds,
use MANUAL CRANK #2 and repeat step
3 If Cooling water is not flowing or engine temperature is too High, open cooling system cooling manual by-pass valve
4 Confirm the rotating direction, vibration, temperature, speed and recorded.
5 If no abnormally is observed during the jog operation, restart the engine of continuous operation and observed during the jog operation
conditions occurs.
Note: Should any abnormality occur during the diesel engine test (such as line leakage, sudden rise of bearing temperature and abnormal
conditions) stop the engine immediately and correct the problem before continuing the test
6 Record the equipment test data. The test data shall be recorded every 10 minutes for during 30 minutes.
To stop engine :
1 Return mode selector switch to AUTOMATIC and MANUAL STOP position, engine will stop.
2 Close cooling system manual by-pass valve.
