Textbook questions :
1. The most important norms and expectations I want in writing are: Distribute power equally,
work to soothe hurt feelings, careful to involve all group members. The reason is this is group
work, every members of the group have the right to speak, to contribute equally because they
all share the same mark depending on final result of the work. Moreover, they have to share
understanding among each other to work more successfully.
2. Two decision-making strategies I used in my meeting are
 Random choice decision making: this strategy is simple and save time for choices which
have such similar outcomes. By using random.org or just flip a coin, I can decide what to
do.
 Voting: because our group have an odd number of team members, therefore when
choosing between two or more opinions, we used voting and the majority will be the
winner.
3. When we have to discuss about a given topic, there were two opinions among my team. We
were not shouting at each other to prove our opinion was appropriated, instead, we decided to
split the team to two small teams and try to do as many research as possible to find more
evidences to support our idea. At the end, we gathered and tried to persuade others about our
idea and we combined both opinions to make the best performance. Conflict had happened, but
it boosted our productivity and strengthen our relationship after the work.

Portfolio Reflection
In this session, the overall value I have studied is learn how to deal the problem that teamwork may
approach: meetings, conflicts, working collaboratively,…I have experienced how effective meeting
should be held and it was different from my point of view. Fortunately, I was taught about the
meeting agenda so now I can make my meeting become more successful than in the past. Personally
speaking, the most lesson worth using in the future is how to solve conflicts between members to
boost productivity of the team. After this session, I will try to change the conflict type to be as
flexible as possible to adapt to any circumstances. In order to do that, I must practice and not avoid
conflicts from now on.
