Textbook questions :
1. The Internet is one of the most effective method for people to create networking, which can
help me to :
 Seeking and preparing for a networking event : It is easy for me to find information on
the Internet, where I can know who I want to meet, where I can meet them. Next I can
search for what to prepare to get ready for the event.
 Keeping in contact the people in my networking : nowadays it becomes more popular
for people to use the Internet, with just a simple click, I can talk with them whenever I
want.
2. It is important for students to have their own personal branding because :
 It shows who they are based on your experiences and skills
 Differentiate them for others to built trust with employers
 It shows their professionalism
3. Since having learning Business Communication, I believe my communication skill has improved
significantly. In the course, I was taught how to listen and deliver effective messages. Personally
speaking, every employees have to build communication skill which is an important and
transferable skill comtribute to their career path. People working in every job field will need
communication skill to a better productivity, create a postive atmosphere at work and can
increase customer satisfaction.

4. The STAR interview technique offers a straightforward format you can use to answer interview
questions, the STAR model stands for :
 Situation: Set the scene and give the necessary details of your example.
Task: Describe what your responsibility was in that situation.
Action: Explain exactly what steps you took to address it.
Result: Share what outcomes your actions achieved.

Portfolio Reflection :
In my opinion, the best thing I have learned through this session in general is things to prepare for my
future job : personal branding, interview, networking,..Moreover, I have experienced to be an
employee, learned the lesson through the given work. During the session, I was taught about how to be
well-prepared before entering work force and it was useful. In my opinion, everything I have learned
through out this lesson are worth using in the future because this was a practical lesson which taught
me to be a successful employee or maybe employer. I definitely will try to practice what I have learned
as much as possible, and try to expand my networking which will benefit my career path.
