You do an excellent job in knowing your student's behaviors, "quirks", IEP goals, etc. You have
the materials ready to meet individual needs even within a small group. You had everything
ready and handy to grab as soon as needed without losing stride. This is key in working with
students with special learning needs. Their attention is brief, but you're ready for that. Well
done.

(2.4, in this setting the content connections are obvious.). Well done! You ran math centers for
8 children, all with varying needs & goals K-2. The centers ran approximately 8-10 minute
rotations. They were a review station of past material, practice stations with an aide and one
with chrome books, and yours was introduction or continuation of new standards. It was
organized. The kids understood the flow and participated well. Your aid new what she needed
to do with her group. It went without a hitch! Your frustration about finding materials is common.
You will learn to always be looking and scrapping! You might become a hoarder too! But that's
okay! All good teachers hang on to everything! You just might need it!

(3.4 looks different in this setting and as stated might not be seen exactly as stated above, but
you do this well with each student as you work with them.). You are very in tune with your
students. At one point you said, "I think you noticed something." Then you proceeded to lead
them to tell you what. Then you gave feedback. So your feedback is immediate when you lead
a small group in your teaching style. Again, well done. Your plans and comments mention
using I Ready data and forming lesson plans based on last week's work.

This was center based instruction with each group working on specific goals. You handled all of
this within each new group of children. As stated before, you are able to lead and redirect
attention very well. You had a variety of activities ready to go for each rotation. All good!

You have a calm command of the classroom. You are able to move forward even in very
distracting situations and keep your group moving along with you. You think well on your feet.
Resources: In your situation it's difficult because you have so many need levels. You are
learning to dig and search. Teachers spend a lot of their own money....but those materials are
used through out a career. In this situation, use what your mentor has on hand, dig for the free
options, look at "stuff" creatively (like plastic Easter eggs), and talk to other teachers. I got my
best ideas from my colleagues.
