1. What are the most significant insights/ lessons you gained in NSTP 1? Explain how these
insights will help you in the future as an individual.

 As an IT and an NSTP student of Dr. Alathea S. Jimenez, the most significant

insights/ lessons that I have gained is about leadership. Why? This lesson taught
me that a there are importance of leadership, and those are Initiates actions,
motivation, providing guidance, creating confidence, building morale, and
building work environment. The motivation is what the most important to me.
After that lesson, what I did is I applied that importance of leadership as a leader,
and the motivation is the most important that I applied. What I did is I motivate
my team members, I told them that “We can do this! We can present this
properly, as a team!” while we were doing our tasks in other subjects that has a
group activity. It helps me as a leader and being part of the team to continue doing
the tasks, and it also motivates me that my members in a team cooperates and they
do there tasks efficiently despite of long distance and sometimes, slow internet
connection. In the part of this lesson, there are three styles of leadership, and I
would like to use for the future group activities is the participative or democratic
leadership style. Why? This leadership style allows my members to be involve in
decision making, and to voice out their point of view to the decision will make.
This will help me in the future as an individual, especially in the work field where
I will work. This will help me to manage a team, and to apply the importance of
leadership and the leadership style that I have chosen. I want my members to
cooperate and participate, and we will work on our tasks as a team. With this
lesson, I can use it any time especially if there is a group activity in our school,
just like what we did in the orphanage, where we conducted a webinar and virtual
visitation.
2. What are your realizations when we visited the children in the orphanage? If you will be
given the chance to help these children, how will you help them in your own little way?

 As we conduct our virtual visitation to the children orphanage, I have realized that
those kids in the orphanage have the potentials to be a successful individual soon.
They can easily adopt and remember the lessons that my colleagues taught to
them. Although out the visitation in the orphanage, I have enjoyed it since the
children in the orphanage learns a lot from our webinar. I realized that we, as a
team, we have applied the Seven Core Components of the Psychology of
Teamwork, especially the motivation. As a team, we motivate each and every one
in the team, we always say that “we could do this! We could finish this in no
time!”, and that motivates us, as a team to continue our assigned tasks. I also
realized that they can be an influencer where they share the knowledge they will
have. If I am going to have a chance to help these children, what I will do to give
help to them is to donate books and notebooks where they could read and adopt
lessons from the book, and answer questions from the book. I will do some
funding so that anyone could donate to it, and any value will be appreciated. If the
funds are good enough, I will donate it to the orphanage where they could use the
fund for there resources, or essentials for the children. I know that the children
inside the orphanage will learn more, and they will adapt many things which they
could apply it to their future. I will do my best to help them and to motivate them
that they should continue in the process of their life.
