Activity 3:
1. No, because it depends on the sources and whether the article has
evidence to support its claims. For example, an article about new vitamins
in cigarettes that would add years to your life will be inaccurate because it
did not have any credible evidence to support its arguments, It is also clear
that this news is false because cigarettes are harmful for our bodies, and
the chemicals inserted in them are the ones that lead people to become
addicted to it. And no one knows our life span; we cannot measure it
because it is unpredictable. Because in the rapid advancement of
technology and invention, disseminating false knowledge has never been
easier.
2. Depends on the source of the facts, because anyone can say anything
about a certain topic, and they add any false information is easy on
internet websites that will make people believe that it is real. Also news
that has no evidences that will make it prove legitimate is nothing more
but people's beliefs, which they must rely on to back up their arguments.
3. In terms of news, a reliable source or journalist is needed so the
statements must be supported by proof. And the ability to disseminate
content is often what determines who gets to publish news on the internet.
